**The following buttons related to sunlight parameters do their specific roles:**

* **Status:**Turn on/off the sunlight effect.
* **Color Temperature:**Determine whether the overall color temperature is warm or cool.
* **Shadow Softness:**Adjusting the softness of sunlight shadows.
* **Brightness** : A property of visual perception that represents the effect of a light reflection, with a recommended brightness of no more than 50%. To change the luminance units, change them in **Preferences - Renderings - Brightness Measurement Unit**, as shown in the following image:

* **Sunlight projects to every room:** Turn on auto adjustment, the sunlight position will change automatically, so that each room has a sun cast effect when rendering.
* **Custom sunlight position** **:**The azimuth and pitch angles of the sun can be customized.

Add Lighting Effects
====================

1. In the lights toolbar, you can select the **basic lights, IES lights, glow and volumetric lights** that you want to add, and drag it out to complete the addition.

* **Basic Lights**
  * **Rectangle Light:**area light source/surface light source.
  * **Omni Light:**spotlight/sphere light.
* **IES Lights:** IES represents a file format in the lighting industry that describes the distribution of lights.
  * Many manufacturers provide IES files for their lights, and if you need a specified brand of light, you can upload your own IES lights.
* **Volumetric Lights:**It enhances the realism of the scene and makes the light look more three-dimensional and deep.
