This article explains how to configure cabinet pricing by unfolded panel area. After you set up quotation categories, quotation rules, and the relationships between models and materials, the system can automatically price different panels and apply the corresponding quotation based on the material to generate a quote.

Enterprise sub-accounts must be assigned a role such as Kitchen and Bath/Custom Furniture/Door and Window Product and Quotation Admin by the administrator. Once assigned, the sub-account can use pricing-related features.

Configure Cabinet Unfolding Area Quotation Setting

Example background: Unfolded panel area refers to the combined area of all panels in a cabinet. Cabinet quotation based on unfolded panel area means pricing all panels used in the cabinet. For example, enterprise XX quotes solid wood at 500 per square meter and painted panels at 300 per square meter.

1. In the enterprise backend, click Enterprise Catalog — Custom Products — Product Catalog — Kitchen & Bath/Custom Furniture — Advanced — Quote to enter the quote page.

2. Click Model Quotation Rule — Quotation Category. In the pop-up panel, select ModelQuotation Category — Add a Category, enter a Category Name, and click Confirm.

3. Click MaterialQuotation Category — Add a Category, enter a Category Name, and click Confirm (e.g., Solid Wood, Lacquer).

4. Next, click Quotation Mode—Add a Quotation Mode, enter the Quotation Mode Name, select Enable, and click Confirm.

The quotation mode is visible in the tool only when Enable is selected.

To make this quotation mode available only to specific roles, click Edit—Set Up, select the roles that are allowed to use it, and click Confirm.

5. Click Create a New Quotation Rule. In the NewModel Quotaion Rule window that appears, configure the quotation rules for the panels. Fields marked with “*” are required. Material Quotation Category is optional. If quotation does not vary by material, you can leave it blank. This example divides material quotation into two categories: solid Wood and lacquered panel. In actual use, create the corresponding quotation rules based on the number of material quotation categories you have configured.

The final model price = unit price * quantity * non - standard coefficient * department coefficient+ additional cost.
The rule name is the name of the current quotation rule. It does not need to match the quotation category name.
The material quotation category is optional. Set up separate rules when model pricing depends on the material; otherwise, leave it blank.
The Sale Unit Price can be a formula or a constant, and supports conditional statements.
The Quantity can be a formula or a constant. Here, Quantity refers to the panel area. Note that the W, D, H referenced in the quotation formula correspond to the model's Output Width, Output Depth, and Output Height, not the physical dimensions of the model. Therefore, you need to modify the output properties for panels in different directions. This allows you to use one set of quotation rules. The following is an example of quotation output settings for common panel models:

Quote output settings for flat panels: shelves, top panels, and bottom panels
Quote output settings for vertical panels: center vertical panels and side panels
Quote output settings for horizontal panels: back panels, front panels, and toe kicks

The Unit in the editor is MM. Pay attention to unit conversion when using it.
The Non-Standard Coefficient is a multiplier applied to the base price. It defaults to 1 if left blank.
The Additional Fee is an extra charge added to the base price. You can include costs for craftsmanship, labor, etc., here.

6. In the product catalog, click each panel that corresponds to the cabinet body to open its product details page. Click Edit, select the Quotation you just configured in quotation category, then click Save in the upper-right corner.

7. In the product catalog, find the material you want to price. If multiple materials have the same price, select multiple materials in the same category, click Batch Edit, and select the corresponding material Quotation Type.

Use the same method to set the quotation category for lacquer materials.

8. After setting up the quotation, return to the quote page and run Batch Verification. If the result shows no issues, you can use it in the tool.

9. In the custom design tool, drag the cabinet body into the scene, change its size and material, then generate a Custom Furniture Quotes to check whether the quotation is correct.

FAQ

Q: Why does the model I dragged into the scene have no quotation?

A: This may happen for the following reasons: data synchronization between the backend and frontend takes some time, so after adding a quotation category, wait for the frontend data to sync; the model you dragged in is not associated with a model quotation category; or the current material is not associated with the material category defined in the quotation rule. Replace it with a material that has a quotation category configured.
