3 Steps to Light Customization

In the render tools, custom lighting has a variety of lighting options to meet the lighting needs of different scenes. You can also select lights in batches and adjust lighting parameters with one click to greatly improve design efficiency.

For Users

Entrance

Enter the 3D design and choose the Render.

Select Base Templates

1. Click add to customize.

2. Name the lighting scheme, select a basic template and customly adjust it based on the template.

Tips: It is recommended to understand the functional effects of the basic lighting template before using it, Click to view.

Adjusting Sunlight

Enter the custom lighting interface, the left panel can adjust the color temperature, brightness and position of the sunlight.

The following buttons related to sunlight parameters do their specific roles:

Status: Turn on/off the sunlight effect.
Color Temperature: Determine whether the overall color temperature is warm or cool.
Shadow Softness: Adjusting the softness of sunlight shadows.
Brightness: A property of visual perception that represents the effect of a light reflection, with a recommended brightness of no more than 50%. To change the luminance units, change them in Preferences - Renderings - Brightness Measurement Unit, as shown in the following image:

Sunlight projects to every room: Turn on auto adjustment, the sunlight position will change automatically, so that each room has a sun cast effect when rendering.
Custom sunlight position: The azimuth and pitch angles of the sun can be customized.

Add Lighting Effects

1. In the lights toolbar, you can select the basic lights, IES lights, glow and volumetric lights that you want to add, and drag it out to complete the addition.

Basic Lights
- Rectangle Light: area light source/surface light source.
- Omni Light: spotlight/sphere light.
IES Lights: IES represents a file format in the lighting industry that describes the distribution of lights.
- Many manufacturers provide IES files for their lights, and if you need a specified brand of light, you can upload your own IES lights.
Volumetric Lights: It enhances the realism of the scene and makes the light look more three-dimensional and deep.

2. Click on the lights in the base template to adjust the color, brightness and height of the lights in the right panel.

3. After the lighting project is set up, click Save.
