The splicing methods of the countertop and the side table are mainly divided into two types: direct splicing and bevel splicing. After adding the edge type, it can be further subdivided into three ways: the edged straight splicing, the edged oblique splicing and only the edged oblique splicing. This function supports the effect and docking ability of the edged oblique splicing, so it is called oblique splicing, and there are the following design scenarios that may be encountered:
Scenario One |
Scenario Two |
For different high and low cabinet scenarios, there may be a situation of high and low oblique or high oblique and low straight splicing, as shown in the section view of high oblique splicing and high and low oblique splicing below.
|
The oblique splicing is more beautiful in appearance, after fine polishing, the side seams are basically not visible, and the shape of the front edge is also more coherent, as shown in the following edged oblique. Due to the mature cutting process combined with the better visual effect of oblique splicing, many enterprises tend to use oblique splicing when splicing platforms and side tables, and the application of straight splicing is relatively rare. |
⭐By using the oblique splicing function, the following effects can be achieved::
- Countertop styling function to cover more design scenarios that are in line with the actual countertop process.
- Optimize the data structure to make it more in line with the production and processing logic of the industry, and improve the integrity and ability of the output data to production.
- Through the service countertop, the customer is connected to achieve more freedom in modeling design.

Design Tools Interface
High and Low Countertops Oblique Splicing
1. Select a set of cabinets with height difference, click to Generate - Countertop in the floating toolbar.
2. After entering the creat countertop interface, set parameters such as front edge and back splash.
3. In the parameter panel on the right, select a top slicing or top and botton slope splicing method, and click Generate.
- The generation effect of high and low oblique splicing is as follows:
Side Table Top Splicing
1. Select the countertop that has been generated by the base cabinet and click the Generate Waterfall Edge in the floating toolbar to generate it.
2. Click the edge of the side table that needs to be generated, select the top splicing in the right panel, and click confirm generation.
3. After the side table is generated, select the side table to view the parameters on the right panel, and click to Complete.
4. Click Generate.
- Note: The side table with top splicing does not support modifying parameters yet.
- The generation effect of side table is as follows:
FAQ
Q1: After oblique splicing, does the quotation and JSON output size of the side table include the beveled part?
A1: The dimensions of the flat side countertop (customsize field) will include the beveled part, and the front edge size (lengthWithAllowance field) of the flat side countertop will also include the beveled part.
Q2: After oblique splicing, how to express the outline of the countertop and the path of the front edge in JSON?
A2: We have added the countertop projection area, the projection path of the front edge, to show the outline and path of the beveled part, and added the installAngle marker, which is marked as 45 for the inward oblique cut and -45 for the outward oblique cut.
