[Enterprise] Model Material Configuration Instructions

Enterprise users can use the backend model material configuration feature to replace or add furniture model materials and fine-tune details. Once configured, designers can directly apply these materials in the design tool, significantly boosting work efficiency

Entrance

On the workspace page, click Enterprise Catalog—Products—Furniture, select any piece of furniture to enter the product details page, then click the Component Texture option at the top, followed by Click Here to access the model material configuration page.

**Module:** Furniture > Product Library

**Workflow Steps:**
1. **"Enterprise catalog" menu item:** Selects the enterprise-level asset catalog.
2. **"Furniture" category item:** Filters the library to display only furniture models.
3. **"Bedside Cabinet - White Solid Wood" model card:** Selects a specific 3D model for use in the project.

Model Material Configuration

Add Component

Select the model part you want to set as a component, click Create Group, and after naming the selected part, the component will be successfully created.

Add Material

1. Click the + Add Materials icon. The system will display all available materials in the enterprise material library. Select the required material and click Confirm (multiple selections allowed).

**Module:** Model material configuration > Add materials dialog

**Workflow Steps:**
1. **"Add materials" button:** Click to open the material selection pop-up window.
2. **Material selection area:** Select one or multiple material thumbnails from the list to be added to the model.
3. **"Confirm(4)" button:** Click to finalize the selection and apply the chosen materials to the configuration.

Note: In the pop-up window, you can filter the required materials through the following actions:

Create new materials for this component by visiting the Enterprise Material Library.

**Module:** Model material configuration > Add materials popup

**Target Object:** "Enterprise Material Library" link/tab

**Action/Purpose:** Used to switch the material source to the enterprise-level library for selecting specific materials to add to the model.

Filter materials by groups.

**Module:** Model material configuration > Add materials dialog

**Target Object:** Material category dropdown menu (specifically the selection list containing "Not classified", "High-definit...", and "Common tex...").

**Function:** Used to filter the material list by specific categories to quickly locate and select the desired material for the model.

Search for materials or codes.

**Module:** Model material configuration > Add materials popup

**Target Object:** "Search for materials or codes" input field (indicated by the red box and arrow).

**Function:** Used to search for specific materials or material codes within the library to quickly locate and select the desired material for the model.

Select some or all materials.

2. You can create multiple groups for the same component of a model. Click Add a Category at the top and enter a name (e.g., you can categorize by different styles represented by materials).

Each group supports Rename and Delete.

**Module:** Model material configuration > Material Category List

**Target Object:** The "Rename" and "Delete" options within the context menu of the "Modern style" category.

**Action/Purpose:** Used to modify the name of a material category or remove the category entirely from the configuration list.

3. If you want to restore a component's material to its default state, there are two ways, as shown below:

⭐Tip: After adding the material, you can rotate the view 360 degrees to observe the effect from all angles.

**Module:** Model material configuration > 3D Preview Area

**Target Object:** The blue bounding box highlighting the tabletop of the furniture model.

**Function:** Used to indicate the specific surface or part of the model currently selected for material application and parameter adjustment.

Configure Parameters

1. After selecting a material, you can adjust specific parameters of the material on the right side of the page to improve its effect. You can preview the changes in real-time during the adjustments.

Diffuse mainly adjusts the color and texture details of the material surface.
Reflection primarily adjusts the color of the material's reflected light.
Reflection Glossiness controls the blur level of the surface reflection; the higher the value, the clearer the reflection.
Bump/Normal simulates surface relief and texture, enhancing the tactile realism through light and shadow.
Fresnel simulates the changes in reflection/opacity from different angles.

2. If you want to restore the original parameters, simply click Reset to Default.

**Module:** Model material configuration > Material Parameters panel

**Target Object:** "Reset to Default" button (indicated by the red box and arrow)

**Function:** Used to restore the current material's parameter settings (such as Hue shift, Saturation, and Brightness) back to their original default values.

Select Save Options

Once all material settings are completed, there are three options to save:

1. Save Configuration

Clicking Save Configuration binds the parameter settings of multiple materials to the current model. After saving, when using the design tool, you can freely choose the pre-configured materials from the specialized Material Editor page to replace the current model's materials.

**Module:** Model material configuration > Bottom Toolbar

**Target Object:** "Save configuration" button (indicated by the red arrow and bounding box).

**Function:** Used to save the current material settings and configuration applied to the 3D model.

$**Module:** Material Editor > Material Selection & Finalization **Annotations:** 1. **Red Box (Left Panel):** Points to the "pink" material thumbnail. Used to select a specific material to apply to the object. 2. **Blue Box (Center Viewport):** Highlights the applied material area on the 3D model. Used to visualize the real-time effect of the selected material. 3. **Red Box (Top Right):** Points to the "Complete" button. Used to finalize the material editing process and save changes. **Workflow:** The user selects a material (pink) $\rightarrow$ previews the application on the model $\rightarrow$ clicks "Complete" to finish.$

2. Save Product

Clicking Save Product directly replaces the material effects in all historical plans that have used this model (Note: Once you re-enter the material configuration page for this model, the original settings will be cleared, requiring reconfiguration).

**Module:** Model material configuration > Top Navigation Bar

**Target Object:** 'Save product' option within the dropdown menu.

**Action/Purpose:** Used to save the current product material settings to the system.

**Module:** Model material configuration > Save product confirmation dialog

**Target Object:** "confirm" button

**Action/Purpose:** Used to confirm the saving of replacement model materials and update the material configuration across all related historical schemes.

3. Generate New Product

Clicking Generate New Product creates an entirely new and independent product based on your current configuration, specifically for rendering. This new product is completely separate and independent from the original product.

**Module:** Model material configuration > Top Navigation Menu

**Target Object:** "Generate new product" option within the "Save product" dropdown menu.

**Action/Purpose:** Used to create a new product based on the current material configuration.
