[Enterprise] Use Style Substitution Tool in Panorama Editor

Panorama for Style Substitution are a group of panoramas that your end-customers can switch among while browsing the panorama scenes. In such panoramas, you can showcase different products/materials and display various decor styles, outdoor views and lighting to your end-customers as they switch panoramas through the Style Substitution hotspot.

Besides, if you have a particular need for showcasing various paving patterns, you can render the floor with various paving patterns in the group of panoramas as substitutions.

In a word, the Style Substitution feature enables you to create for your end-customers effect or style changes that wouldn’t be achieved by the Product Replacement feature.

Steps

1. Go to your enterprise backend, select a project, and open the design tool.

2. In the tool interface, click Images/Videos in the top bar.

3. On the rendering page, click 360° Walkthrough at the top, then render multiple panoramas with the same camera settings to create a panorama set for style replacement.

Below are the requirements for the panoramas that can be used for Style Substitution as a group.
- The panoramas that you choose all belong to the same room scene.
- The camera angles and positions in the panoramas are set exactly the same.
- The resolutions of the selected panoramas may vary.
To make sure the cameras in the panoramas that you select for Style Substitution are in the same angle and position, you can click Save Angle at the bottom of the Snapshots section in the right-side pane when you get done with the first rendering of the panorama group. This way, you can have the same camera settings for your next few renderings of the panorama group.

4. In enterprise backend, click Project Details for the corresponding project. On the project details page, hover over the panorama, then click Editor to open the panorama editor.

You can also click … in the upper-right corner of the thumbnail, then click Panorama Editor in the drop-down menu.

5. On the walkthrough editor page, click Style Substitution — Create Style Substitution.

6. Next, set the Button Name and Style that users click to open style substitution. Then configure the Default Style Settings for the current scene. You can upload products/materials from the enterprise library or your local device, and name the product/material.

Example: To show a herringbone wood floor effect on the floor in the current panorama, enter herringbone wood floor or a similar name in the Product/Material Name field. Then click the product/material upload area and select the corresponding herringbone texture map.

7. Click Add Style for Substitution below, then select another panorama in the set. Follow the same steps to name the product/material for the other substitution style, and select and upload the corresponding texture map. Repeat until all panoramas in the style-replacement set are configured.

8. After you configure all style substitution panoramas, click Save in the lower-left corner of the page. Before you exit the panorama editor, click Save again near the upper-right corner of the page.

9. When View the panorama, you can see the style substitution hotspot in the scene. Click it to switch the panorama effect based on the style configured for the selected product/material.

Notes

1. The Style Substitution feature cannot be used in combination with Product Replacement at the moment. Please be careful while using the feature.

2. If you need to display the hotspot information for the replacement product correctly, you can only replace one product at a time.
