[Material & Component] Add Light Strips in Ceiling

Want to maximize the ambiance of your space design? Light strips are the key! This article will break down two high-frequency light strip addition processes for all users—Material and Component Addition, and Ceiling Editor Addition. Simple to operate, newbie-friendly, and easily ignite your design inspiration with light strips~

Adding Light Strips in Materials and Components

Entrance

Enter the design tool, and click Advanced Tool—Material and Component.

Add Light Strips

1. After entering the tool page, click Light Strips at the top, set up in the pop-up panel, and click Confirm after completing the settings.

When the Light Trough option is selected, you can set the brightness, color, length, and width of the light strip.

When the Light Trough option is not selected, you can set the brightness, color and position of the light strip on the ceiling.

2. Hold the Shift key to select multiple paths, release Shift after selection, and click the blue surface where you want to place the light strip. The light strip will be automatically placed around the path.

3. Hold Shift and double-click the Light Strip to set the Connect Faces and Group in the floating window.

4. Click Light Strips to configure the Color and Brightness in the left panel.

5. After completing the setup, click Back to Floor Planner in the top right corner.

Adding Light Strips in Ceiling Editor

Entrance

Select the ceiling surface, and click Ceiling Editor in the floating window.

Add Light Strips

1. After entering the tool page, you can click the tools like Line/Curve/Rectangle/Circle. In the toolbar, select Light Strip and draw your desired shape.

2. Once finished, select the required shape surface and set the Extrusion value. The shaped surface and the original ceiling need to have a height difference to see the effect. Then, adjust the top-right window to preview.

3. You can also draw the shape first, then select the shape surface and configure the Extrusion value.

4. Click the edge of the shape. In the left profile panel, Set Light Trough and Light Strip.

When THE Indented Lamp Belt is selected, you can set the brightness, color, width, and thickness of the light strip. Once configured, adjust the top-right window to preview.

When External Expansion Belt is selected, you can also configure the brightness, color, width, and thickness of the light strip. Once configured, adjust the top-right window to preview.

5. After finishing, click Exit with Save in the top right corner.
