Quoting uses a quotation category to link quotation objects with quotation rules to produce a final price. On top of that, you can apply department coefficients and quotation methods to handle different pricing scenarios.
Enterprise Administrator
Here is a detailed breakdown of the feature:
In the enterprise workspace, go to Enterprise Catalog — Custom Products — Product Catalog — Advanced — Quote.
Create a Quotation Category and assign it to a quotation object. When you set up a quotation rule, select this category to link the rule to the object. Quotation categories are divided based on the type of object:
If a quotation object requires multiple quotation modes (such as sales price, cost price, or linear meter, surface area, and projected area pricing), you can create multiple quotation rules. For example, you can set up different quotation rules for a cabinet so that you can choose the appropriate method as needed. This allows users to flexibly select the desired quotation method within a design.
Editing Quotation Modes
1. In the Quotation Methods section, you can Add a Quotation Mode or click Edit to choose whether to Enable it in the tool and set it as the Default mode. There is no limit to the number of quotation modes you can create, but a maximum of 4 can be displayed in the tool.
2. You can see the real-time quotation in the lower-right corner of the tool. The system quotes using the default method, but you can click to switch to a different Quote Logic.
Associating Quotation Modes
When creating a quoting rule, you must associate it with a quoting method. The default is All Applicable. You can create different rules for different methods (if the model/profile and material quote categories are the same). Selecting All Applicable means this rule will be used regardless of the chosen quoting method.
If you have already created a rule for a specific quoting method, you can still create other rules for the same quote category. However, if you select "All Applicable," you cannot create additional rules for specific methods, as the "All Applicable" rule already covers them, and adding more would cause duplication.
Note: Quoting rules must be unique. You cannot have multiple rules with the exact same combination of "Quotation Mode," "Model Quotation Category," and "Material Quotation Category."
1. Quotation rules are divided into ModelQuotation Rule and ContourQuotation Rule.
2. How to set up: Select the desired type and click New a new Quotation Rule.
⭐Note: You cannot define duplicate quotation rules for the same category (or category combination).
3. The Calculation Rule: The final price of a model = Unit Price * Quantity * Non-standard Coefficient + Additional Cost.
4. Field Descriptions
Quotation rules involve formulas, categories, and objects, which can be prone to errors. To avoid discovering pricing issues in the tool and having to return to fix them, you can use the Check function on the quotation settings page to check if your rules are correct.
1. Product prices can vary due to different consumption levels across cities. Departmental Factor are primarily used to handle these differences, and can also be applied in other scenarios where pricing needs to be influenced by account (such as promotional campaigns). First, assign sub-accounts to departments in Account Management. Then, assign different coefficients to different departments through the department coefficient settings in a quotation rule or by batch editing them.
2. Set the Starting and Ending Time and the department factor. The coefficient only takes effect within the valid time range. Once set, the result of the quotation rule calculation will be multiplied by the department factor.
